Uncover the Truth

Education in Israel is compulsory through the ninth grade and all children are entitled to publicly subsidized education till matriculation. The government operates separate school systems for Hebrew-speaking children (mostly Jewish), Arabic-speaking children (mostly Israeli-Arab), and Orthodox Jews. Israeli citizens can send their children to whatever State school they wish. In practice, most people choose schools that best suit their religious, linguistic or cultural backgrounds.
